Ten years ago, home builder Joel Peterson said he would not have shown off a Parade of Homes entry in a 100-year-old neighborhood while building a $589,000 house on speculation across the street.
But today’s new home buyers want to live in a walkable neighborhood close to the city, says Peterson.
Having a week of certainty is kinda nice because then we’re able to schedule things pretty tightly now whereas before we were somewhat just guessing on what might happen.
The biggest opportunity was to create an efficient, yet compact two-story with endless amenities. Overall, the home’s compact design functions with the efficiency of a Swiss Army knife.
